Talk: Identity and Stage Adaptation around Coming Out of My Skin with Jean-Baptiste Phou

Join us for a conversation with Jean-Baptiste Phou, author of Coming Out of My Skin (La Peau hors du placard), as he shares the story behind his powerful autobiographical book exploring identity, sexuality, and ethnicity from the perspective of a Cambodian-Chinese gay man born in France.

This event will explore the writing process and the adaptation of the book into a stage performance in Khmer. Jean-Baptiste Phou will speak about the origins of the text and the themes that shaped it. Actor Heng Seyhassneth, who performs the solo piece, will also be present to share his perspective on bringing the story to the stage. The conversation will be followed by a book signing session (French edition).
