Terms & Conditions

1. Scope of Application

• These Terms and Conditions apply to all language courses offered by the Alliance Française of Siem Reap, whether in person or online.
• Enrollment in a course implies full acceptance of these conditions by the student (or the legal guardian in the case of a minor).

2. Eligibility and Enrollment

• Enrollment is open to individuals of all ages, provided they meet the specific requirements of each course.
• Students must complete the registration process by providing accurate personal information and any necessary documentation requested by Alliance Française Siem Reap.
• Students may be required to undergo a placement test to determine their appropriate level for enrollment. Alliance Française Siem Reap reserves the right to place students in the level deemed most suitable based on their proficiency. 
• Alliance Française Siem Reap reserves the right to accept or reject any application without assigning any reason.

3. Payment

• Enrollment is confirmed only upon full payment of the course fees or signature of a payment agreement.
• Course fees must be paid before the first day of class.
• A USD 3 administrative fee applies to payment in two installments.
  

4. Late Payment

• A late fee of USD 10 is applied to all payments made more than 7 days after the deadline.
• Students with unpaid fees may be denied access to classes.

5. Refunds Policy

• Withdrawal before the start of classes: a full refund of tuition fees will be provided.
• Withdrawal within the first week of classes: a partial refund may be granted, subject to administrative review.
• No refunds will be issued for withdrawals made after the first week of classes.
• If a refund is granted, an administrative fee of USD 10 may be withheld.

6. Withdrawal or Absence

• No refund or credit will be given for missed classes due to personal reasons (travel, illness, etc.).
• Students are encouraged to inform the administration in case of long-term absence.

7. Course Cancellation or Changes

• The Alliance Française reserves the right to cancel a course if the minimum number of students is not reached.
• In such cases, students will be offered an alternative or a full refund.
• The Alliance may change class schedules, teachers, or formats if necessary, while maintaining pedagogical consistency.

8. Limitation of Liability

• Alliance Française Siem Reap is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury to persons or property that may occur during classes or while on the premises of the language center.

9. Code of Conduct

• Students are expected to behave respectfully toward teachers, staff, and fellow students.
• The Alliance reserves the right to expel a student without refund in cases of serious misconduct.

10. Personal Data

• Personal data collected during registration is used solely for administrative and pedagogical purposes and is never shared with third parties without consent.
• Students have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of their data.

11. Photo and Video Consent

• Photos or videos taken during classes or events may be used for internal or promotional purposes.
• Students who do not wish to appear must inform the administration in writing at the time of enrollment.

12. Jurisdiction

• These Terms and Conditions are governed by Cambodian law. 
• Any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Siem Reap.
